Our Strengths

1 Fujimi Apiary’s Unique Technology

Technology①“Supercritical Extraction”

Fujimi Apiary obtained a patent for its supercritical extraction propolis technology in August 1991 (1991).

Supercritical extraction, known as the natural extraction method, is a process in which natural components (carbon dioxide gas) in the air are subjected to ultrahigh pressure at a temperature of 35-40℃, creating a strong force that dissolves the extractive components of food products.

Since then, we have been using this technology to produce high quality products.

Publication number: JP 5-59391
Invention name: Production method for purified propolis and O/W emulsion containing purified propolis ingredients

Summary: The purpose of this invention is to extract and separate propolis extract which has light color, aroma, and high active ingredient content. It is characterized by the extraction and separation of propolis by bringing crushed crude propolis into contact with carbon dioxide in a supercritical state. In particular, the extraction and separation of purified propolis are performed at an extraction pressure of 80 to 500 kg/c㎡ and an extraction temperature of 35 to 90°C, and at a separation pressure of 50 to 100 kg/c㎡ and a separation temperature of 35 to 90°C.

Production Process of Supercritical Extraction Propolis Inclusion Complex

Supercritical extraction propolis raw milk

Supercritical extraction propolis

Features

●Since it is extracted at a temperature near room temperature, components with little thermal degeneration can be obtained.
●No oxidation or deterioration, so it contains bright light yellow color and unique aromatic components.
●Highly safe products can be obtained because there is no risk of residual solvents.
●Many terpenoids with high functionality are extracted as they are.

Inclusion with cyclic oligosaccharides

Supercritical extraction propolis inclusion complex

Features

Supercritical extraction propolis γ-cyclodextrin inclusion complex has the effect of improving the solubility of Artepilin C contained in green propolis, so it is expected to improve the absorption of Artepilin C in the body.

Technology 2 “Ultra-High Pressure Whole Foods Manufacturing Method”

The ultra-high pressure method is a manufacturing method that processes and extracts propolis at ultra-high pressure of 2,000 atmospheres or higher.
Unlike ordinary extraction methods, the entire constituents of the raw material are incorporated directly into the product.

High quality propolis raw material

Organic propolis ingots

Features

●Propolis nodules are in their most concentrated state.
●The highest grade propolis collected from organic apiaries (in Minas Gerais) certified by IBD, a Brazilian organic certification organization.

We use organic propolis nuggets certified by an external agency

Our propolis is produced from raw materials that meet the following strict standards

<The hive must be located at least 3 km away from the farmland under normal agricultural management.
The hive must be at least 3 km away from farmland controlled by conventional agricultural methods.
Bees must have easy access to natural pollen, nectar and good quality water, sufficient to meet their nutritional requirements.
The producer’s property must be well planted and environmentally maintained. etc.

Ultra-high pressure equipment

Features

●Patented equipment that crushes propolis material and extracts it under ultrahigh pressure of 2,000 atmospheres or higher.
●Compresses propolis raw material and water at the same time under ultra-high pressure to produce a paste that is then converted into FD.

Features

● No additives are used and the natural ingredients are concentrated.
●Freeze-dried without using high temperatures, so the ingredients are not easily destroyed and can be stored for a long period of time.
● Organic raw materials and high-pressure sterilization process for peace of mind

2 One-stop service from processing of raw materials to manufacturing and sales

All-round response to quality and customer needs

We are a one-stop service from procurement of raw materials to processing of propolis, and can provide a stable supply of high quality raw materials in cooperation with producers.
We have a lineup of raw materials in various forms according to customer needs and applications.

3 Using only materials selected by the president

Using only high-quality propolis ingots from the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil

The state of Minas Gerais in Brazil is a major propolis production area.
We have built a long-standing network with local producers and regularly visit apiaries in the state to ensure the quality and safety of our products.
With the motto of “coexistence with nature,” we aim to produce sustainable raw materials with consideration for the natural environment.

We have established a network with academic institutions and beekeeping companies around the world, including producers in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, as well as in Japan and China.
We are developing high-quality propolis on a global scale.

High technology recognized by researchers

Our company was introduced in an academic paper by Dr. Toruki Miyataka, Pharm.
